# Publish a Campaign

In the Developer portal's **Campaigns** list, **Open Builder** starts a new **Untitled** draft. To edit an existing Campaign, open its card and then choose **Open builder**.

Name the draft when you leave it. The first time you move away from an **Untitled** draft, the portal asks **Name this campaign**: enter a **Campaign name** and select **Name it**. **Later** keeps the draft as Untitled, and it needs a name before it can launch. A named draft appears under that name in **Campaigns**, where you can reopen it.

## Prepare the draft

A new draft opens on an empty canvas. The first time you open Builder, it offers **Start from a preset**, and every preset begins with an **Entry Gate**. If you choose **Start from a blank canvas instead**, add the Entry Gate first from **Quality & Gate** in the bottom toolbar.

1. [Define the work](/tasks/define), including the brief, Contributor form, and participation requirements.
2. [Configure the workflow](/tasks/workflow) from entry through human work, checks, acceptance, and delivery.
3. [Test and launch](/tasks/launch) after checking budget, eligibility, and the dry-run result.

Save the node panel and canvas separately. When you reopen the draft, four things should be there: the name you gave it, the form bound to the human-work step, the connected workflow on the canvas, and the checks in **Test & Launch**. A part that is missing was not saved. A saved draft can be revisited; it has not yet been published or made claimable to Contributors.

**History** in Builder's bottom toolbar keeps up to the 50 most recent saved canvas versions. You can preview an older version read-only and restore it as a new latest version without overwriting any other. See [View and restore canvas versions](/tasks/define#view-and-restore-canvas-versions).

## After launch

| Campaign area | Use it for |
| --- | --- |
| Overview | Campaign summary, budget, and what needs your attention |
| Reviews | Submissions and review decisions |
| People | Participants |
| Setup | Running settings: details, requirements, appearance, and budget |

To change a Campaign that is already running, go to the part you want to change:

- **Workflow:** edit it from **Open builder**. Saving the canvas of a running Campaign [publishes the change at once](/tasks/define#save-and-revise).
- **Budget:** use **Overview → Increase budget** or **Setup → Budget & costs**. The total can only go up after launch.
- **Comparison only:** **Setup → Workflow & rewards** shows the current version read-only, and **Test & Launch** does not launch a second time.

[Understand running states](/tasks/launch#understand-running-states) covers pausing, resuming, and ending.

Launching permits work to begin when the other conditions are met. It does not prove that any submission has been accepted, paid, or delivered. Check those outcomes in the corresponding [result records](/tasks/results).
