Contributors receive payouts in USDC to a wallet linked to their account. Start in Earnings in the Contributor portal. A positive Available to withdraw amount describes funds; the withdrawal checks determine whether you can act on them now.

1. Find what is blocking you

If Earnings shows Setup incomplete, select Why can’t I withdraw?. It lists the checks that have not passed for your account; Fix this may take you to a setting you can change. Work from your actual list:

CheckNext action
Payout terms acceptedOpen the current Contributor Payout Terms through the offered agreement link. Read them before deciding whether to accept.
Wallet linkedFollow Fix this to the account wallet setting. Bind a wallet you control, complete the ownership signature, then check that the saved address appears on your account.
Withdrawals permittedRead the reason shown. If there is no action you can take, keep the message and contact support. Repeated clicks do not change an authorization decision.
Minimum amount reachedRead the minimum shown for your account and wait for eligible earnings to reach it. Do not use another account's threshold.
Identity or another requirementFollow that row's current instruction. If its service cannot be checked, retry the status read rather than treating it as a refusal.

After changing a setting, return to Earnings and reopen the checks. A linked wallet does not by itself satisfy a missing agreement, minimum, or permission.

Limits, reviews, and holds

Withdrawals have a limit per request, per day, and per month, and a waiting time between requests. A request above the amount that clears automatically shows In review until someone approves it. Earnings can also sit on withdrawal hold, with Expected release in a stated time; that waiting period is set from your reputationA 0–100 score built from a Contributor's recorded work; it sets their tier and pay factor and identity verification, and Read Withdrawal Policy explains it. If a request is refused without a clear reason, try again later or with a smaller amount, then contact support with the time and amount.

Earnings also shows a Tax form card. Choose W-9 if you are a US person or entity and W-8BEN otherwise. Withdrawals still work without one, but withholding cannot be reported on them until you file.

2. Review the request

Interactive walkthroughA simplified replica of Contributor portal → Earnings → Withdraw with sample data. Nothing you type leaves this page.
Step 2Setup is complete, so Withdraw is available. Select it.

When Withdraw is available, select it to open Confirm withdrawal. Asset is USDC and Amount starts at everything available: change it, or select Max to fill it in again. Compare it with Available and Minimum; the wallet buttons below stay unavailable while the amount is empty, above Available or below Minimum. Check the displayed Network. The same token name on another network is not enough to confirm the destination.

The relayer fee is network gas taken from the on-chain withdrawal. The exact fee cannot be quoted before you sign; the verified receipt, when available, shows the actual fee and amount that reached the wallet. Do not assume the requested amount will equal the wallet receipt. If the confirmation page does not let you establish the wallet, network, or applicable terms, close it and resolve that question before signing.

If the current Contributor Payout Terms are requested here, read them and decide whether to accept. A failure to load the terms pauses this withdrawal; retry the agreement read instead of signing without knowing its content.

3. Use your linked wallet and sign

Select a wallet to sign lists the wallet extensions installed in this browser, not the wallets on your account. Choosing one sends the request at once; there is no separate confirm button. The withdrawal is paid only to the address you linked, so if the wallet is connected as another address, Wrong wallet connected appears: select Choose account to pick the linked account in the wallet, or Use a different wallet. Linking a wallet and signing a withdrawal are separate actions.

A request above the amount that clears automatically shows Withdrawal in review and has nothing to sign yet. Otherwise the modal shows Signing… while your wallet asks for a signature.

Your wallet may ask to switch networks and sign a message for this request. Check the destination, amount and network before approving. Do not share a private key, seed phrase or verification code with support or an agent. If you reject the signature, nothing is sent: the portal cancels the request, and the modal offers Retry. The signature it had already issued still reserves the amount until it expires, 30 minutes by default, so a new request that needs that money is refused with Insufficient balance until then. Request less, or wait. Retry with the same wallet and amount sends the cancelled request again and fails; change the amount, or close the window and open Withdraw again. If the page times out instead, check your withdrawal history before trying again.

4. Check the original request

Open Earnings → Activity, use Filter activity, and select Withdrawals. Match the request by time, amount and destination. No withdrawals yet means no request is listed; a loading error requires Try again.

StatusMeaningNext action
RequestedThe request is recorded; payment is not established.Check whether the original flow still asks you to sign or complete another step.
In reviewA decision is pending.Keep this request and its details. Follow any action offered on it; otherwise contact support for the next step.
ApprovedThe request is authorized but not shown as settled.Inspect the original record for a continuation action or updated status; ask support if none appears.
ProcessingWork is underway; a chain broadcast is not guaranteed by this label.Reopen the original record for an updated state and payment reference.
PaidThe platform records payment.Match the transaction or provider record with the destination wallet's actual receipt.
Declined or CanceledThis request did not pay.Read the reason and recheck eligibility and balance before starting another request.
FailedThis attempt did not complete.Read the error and original balance; contact support if the outcome is unclear.

A Reference can be a chain transaction hash or a payment-provider identifier. Open it in a block explorer only when the record supplies chain transaction details. Amount is the requested figure; use the verified receipt and wallet balance for the amount actually received. A receipt can arrive after the Paid status, so an unavailable receipt is not evidence of zero payment.

If the original request is stuck, inconsistent or lacks a continuation action, send hello@humanbased.ai its ID, request time, status, destination and a redacted error or reference. Keep the original request; do not create duplicates to test whether payment will proceed.
